Birkenhead MP Frank Field's new website
Birkenhead MP Frank Field is launching a new website www.frankfield.co.uk, which goes live at midnight.
The MP's team has just set up a Twitter account and his blog has now moved to here.
Full marks to Mr Field for increasing his web presence.
UPDATE: "I may not be the first Labour MP to Twitter, but I think I am definitely the oldest," said Mr Field.
"I already spend about two hours every day reading and responding to emails and letters from my constituents, but I think this is another useful way to get in contact with people and for them to get in contact with me."
However, Mr Field's 78 followers leaves him trailing far behind Westminster's top tweeters, who include Labour's Tom Watson (1,543) and Andy Reed (600), plus Liberal Democrat Lynne Featherstone (566).
Unusually for the maverick Mr Field, his embrace of Twitter sees him marching in step with Labour headquarters, which has urged its MPs to use the technology.

Having read your story in the paper yesterday about the scandal of the way agency workers were treated by Fujitsu in Netherton, i thought your readers might also be interested to take a look at another web site which the North West TUC have created as part of their campaign. I also gather there is an agency workers group on Twitter - I think that as well as the Blessed Frank, the trade unions also seem to be getting their act together in using digital communications to get their message across. Worthy of a blog?
