A few people have mentioned that they would like to see the new logo in context, here is a mock letter that regeneration agency Liverpool Vision put together.

BTW anyone know what this means?

here's some reaction so far from twitter:

franticuk @davidbartlett1 Logo reaction in our office - 'Oh... is that it?' wait 5 mins then 'It's blue. because it was red last time?' 4/10

cllrsuetaylor @davidbartlett1 Hi Dave, I like it despite its similarity to the old one! Much prefer the blue to the red/yellow on the 08 logo.

amcewen @davidbartlett1 re logo: am indifferent to it. Can see evo of 08 logo, not excited by it. I'm sure there'll be usual complaints on cost

beej777 @davidbartlett1 seems a bit "fussy" to me- lot of fine detail. Imagine a few people won't be too happy about the city's logo being blue?!

benchadwick @davidbartlett1 It's blue! I bet half your responses are negative! For me, I can't seem to find any faults so guess I must like it!

CatherineLawler @davidbartlett1 Not really feeling the love of that one - I'd be interested to see the runners-ups!!

saltyshutter @davidbartlett1 may as well of done the font in Comic Sans. Hmph.

Michelecheaney @davidbartlett1 Wish someone would pay me £50k to come up with a city logo. Not sure Liverpool reds will like all that blue!

davidlrattigan @davidbartlett1 The new Liverpool logo strikes me as a bland derivative of the 08 logo. Probably need to see it in context for effect.

Ooh I know what it means! It translates to... absolutely nothing because it's not a language, it's a publishing way of filling space.
