Crosby MP Claire Curtis-Thomas to come under fire for expenses?

Looks like Crosby MP Claire Curtis-Thomas MP is about to have the Telegraph's spotlight shined on her expenses.
This afternoon she has issued a preemptive statement which includes the following sentences:
"If I have made mistakes in my expense claims, that is all they are; they are a matter of regret, but certainly not on a scale to call into question my integrity.
"Where I have caused my constituents any anxiety and distress, I wish to apologise unreservedly and I will of course abide by rules set out by the newly established commission."
This is the full text of her statement:
It may well be the case that I will be feature in the Daily Telegraph in the next few days, in connection to the paper's investigation into Parliamentary expenses. After almost two weeks of daily revelations, the implication is that anyone who appears in the Telegraph has something to be ashamed of. My colleagues can speak for themselves, but I want to say categorically that I am not ashamed. I have not knowingly broken any rules.
I am very proud of my record as MP for Crosby over the last 12 years. In that time I have dealt with thousands of cases brought to me by constituents who have shown their appreciation by re-electing me on two occasions, even though Crosby is not a natural Labour seat. I have used my background as an engineer in industry and higher education to promote local companies and have spoken in the House of Commons, asking thousands of Parliamentary questions on subjects which affect the everyday lives of my constituents.
Throughout this time, I have consulted the Fees Office on many occasions and endeavoured to stick to the rules on expenses and allowances as they were explained to me and my staff. If I have made mistakes in my expense claims, that is all they are; they are a matter of regret, but certainly not on a scale to call into question my integrity. In the current climate that surrounds the questions of expenses, it seems to have been forgotten that MPs are human, and that human beings make mistakes. That applies to me as much as anyone else, and I believe my constituents will judge me not on a few sentences in a newspaper but my record over 12 years as their representative in Parliament. Where I have caused my constituents any anxiety and distress, I wish to apologise unreservedly and I will of course abide by rules set out by the newly established commission.

Oh dear, Claire. Too much, too early. And after the details are published, the contrition will be too little, to late.
