Wavertree MP Jane Kennedy's postbag following her departure from government
Jane Kennedy's office has been flooded with correspondence since she departure from government, I'm told.
Apparently they are mostly supportive by a proporion of around 5-1. Here is a selection of the postive ones (and futher below a couple of negative ones):
You were always game for a fight if the cause was just - and I think you are right on this one.

I'm with the self indulgent bunch. By leaving her post to deliver some kind of blow to internal party politics, she leaves a department having to bring a new minister up to speed, confusing external contacts and generally slowing things down.
I wonder if this information would have been released f it had been the other way round, ie: five to one criticising her decision? I doubt it. Looks like there's some Spinnegan-ing going on here.
Very clever spinning I would say. They give you a couple of negatives to ensure you use the positives which may or may not be real. Of course it may be that labour members in Liverpool think she has done the right thing and it would make a good story to do a bit of a poll on this.
The Lib Dems reduce politics to the level of the comments above. A politician steps forward and acts sincerely. This is their response. It says more about them than Jane.
