Conservatives to choose Liverpool candidates

The Conservatives will gather in a fortnight to choose their Liverpool candidates for the next General Election.

Realistically they stand no chance of grabbing a seat in one of the city's five seats.

But Wavertree, where current Labour MP Jane Kennedy is standing down, is where the Conservatives are likely to get the most votes.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 16, leaving Labour as the last party to finalise its list of candidates for the city, read HERE about their selection process.

One party member tells me they hope the party will chose a good candidate for the seat, as even though they cannot win they could dent Liberal Democrat Colin Eldridge's chances.

So there is a question, if you are a Conservative, who would you rather won the seat? A Labour candidate or a Lib Dem?
