Dude the Dog's 'evil' picture of Joe Anderson
Liberal Democrat blog Dude the Dog has been carrying lookalike blog posts for a good while now.
This one on Liverpool Labour leader Joe Anderson has got to be one of the funniest to date.

It's only 'funny' - if it's funny at all - because of the 'mirror symmetry' of the hand. But anything can be made 'funny' in an infantile way by photo-manipulation. Take away the superimposed hand from Joe's face, and tell me what's funny then. This is a fine example of childish LibDem 'skidmark humour'.
It's funny, too, because it taps into Joe's propensity for air brained schemes (for taking the 'werld' aka Liverpool) such as diverting money earmarked for a road link to the port towards Merseytram. He really doesn't seem to understand why he is the only one singing this tune.
Really David? You're choosing to publicise a blog which drags Liverpool's politics down, and down, and down...??
I really thought better of Dale Street Blues. Shame.
Well I think it is in very poor taste. Has the person who writes this Dude The Bog nonesense, nothing better to do with their time other than mock and poke fun at people? I wonder does The leader of the Silly Console, Wally Bradlow endorse this kind of shallow,negative blogging?

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry you're put out by this post. I am not endorsing Dude the Dog but simply pointing out this lookalike. Private Eye has carried lookalikes like this for years and the fact it was created by an anonymous partisan blog does not detract from an amusing mock up. Posting this was just supposed to be a bit of fun, surely collectively we've not lost the ability to laugh at ourselves and our politicians?
I have to disagree Mr Bartlets, I didn't get where I am today by laughing at myself - just at the council and the council taxpayers of Liverpool. Oh and all the way to the bank.

This blog is a nasty peice of work ran by Colin Eldridges lackies
They have been running a vendetta against a prominent Labour Blogging Cllr for years. A paticulary vicious one at that.
So whilst this was quite funny, If I was you on the basis of their peurile nastiness toward other would not of publicsed it.
lets face it, it was set up as a response to the infamous Liverpool Subculture blog and is a poor imitation of the same.
Its not enough to deny this is an endorsement of what is a rag of a blog. Would you ever adoringly put a link up to the Sun website? No? Of course not, because its a rag of a newspaper!
By linking DtD, and applauding it, you've endorsed it. Sorry mate, but that's a huge error of judgement.
I don't expect anything less from Lib Dems in this city. This is a party who's members have criminal convictions for scurrilous campaigning, so DtD is pretty much bang on form.
Opposition parties could have responded with their own versions of this website, but they chose not too, I assume, because politics can be better than that if you let it.
