Four 'new' blogs covering politics in Merseyside

From time to time Conservative blogger Iain Dale lists a top ten of new blogs that he has recently discovered.

So it's thanks to Iain that I discovered MPTP a Conservative blog by a Liverpool lawyer called Matthew Taylor. I'm embarrassed to say it's been around since 2002 and despite following MPTP on Twitter I'd failed to pick up on his blog. It's well worth checking out.

I should also bring to your attention the blog of Tom Morrison, the campaign manager for Liberal Democrat candidate for Liverpool Wavertree Colin Eldridge.

He started blogging last month, and should make interesting reading in the coming weeks as the battle for Wavertree hots up. Oh he's also running for the Lib Dems in the Church ward at this year's local elections.

Last month also saw the launch of Sister Mary's blog, which would appear to be a new attack blog aimed at helping Labour retain Wallasey at the general election.

Click HERE to read an interview with sister Mary by my colleague Matt Hurst from the Wirral News.

And in a blog reversal, if that's the right word, Labour candidate for Liverpool Wavertree Luciana Berger, has converted her own blog into her campaign website.

Just read that Morrison's site - good heavens. Not one for truth is he?

If someone posted on a random forum that Labour were going to hand out cheese instead of leaflets, he would devote a page and a half to discussing why it was terrible and why Lib Dem cheese would be better.

Also - he's slightly obsessed with Labour isn't he? Not got much to say about the Lib Dems. If i was standing and he was my campaign manager I would send him back for a new one who concentrated on my own issues!

Come on now Laughing, Mr Morrison does his best. Its not his fault he's notoriously inexperienced and not a little naive.

Running this campaign will probably be good experience for him. Although it is a bit sad that someone so young has refused to have a life...
