The BNP - when actions speak louder than words

There is no doubt that actions speak louder than words.

Forcefully ejecting a journalist from a press conference called by the BNP to trumpet how it has changed - voting to allow black and ethnic minority people to become members (after being forced to, following court action) - is a classic example.

You can read the full story HERE by the Times newspaper, it ends in this very salient quote:

"I never thought I would actually get my nose bloodied trying to cover a press conference for a British political party -- but that is the true face of Nick Griffin and his BNP."

Griffin says it is evidence the party has not gone soft, well I don't think it's ever had a soft cuddly image.

On a local level I am told the BNP look set to perform quite well in this week's by-election in the Fazakerley ward in Liverpool, called after the death of veteran councillor Jack Spriggs.

The seat is likely to be held by Labour, but could the BNP secure second place?
