Political pranks at Liberal Democrat Liverpool headquarters

By David Bartlett on Nov 25, 10 12:32 PM in

Better late that never. Word reaches me that the locks of the Liberal Democrats headquarters in south Liverpool were glued shut last week.

Campaigners arrived at the Garmoyle to find the locks glued the day before the Croxteth by-election.

"Frustrating when you turn up at 9am to print off leaflets," tells me one insider.

No, not political pranks...very much criminal damage and the police should have been called in - just like when the Garmoyle had the break-in when the computer stuff was stolen close to the elections. LDW's comments are very typical of Labour's arrogance and stupidity. Put's the gleam of actually winning Croxteth now, doesn't it?

A Lib Dem office in the middle of student land the victim of a prank? Well I never.

I hope any accusation of criminal damage can be backed up with proof. No didint think so.

Its a shady looking office in a dodgy part of smithdown rd. Im sure people round there get there locks glued as a matter of course most days.

Who needs proof - the lock was glued up. Bet it was you anyway.

I'm sure this played a pivotal role in the eventual result. I mean, it was almost neck and neck wasn't it...

Actually scratch that, it wasn't. The Lib Dems got absolutely destroyed.

To think they need to rely on members of other parties to sabotage their election campaigns, the Lib Dems seem to do a perfectly good job of ruining their own chances.

In fact - being unable to print a leaflet probably did their vote the world of good!

i can guarantee that was damage inflicted by students, the by election coming just the week after the student protests in london. if you ask the students nicely then maybe they'll unglue the door, in return for getting their votes back that is
