Wantaway Liberal Democrat Laurence Sidorczuk withdraws Labour party application

Wantaway Liberal Democrat Laurence Sidorczuk, who attempted to defect to Labour has withdrawn his application.

Last week I reported on Dale Street how the ">Labour party was likely to block his application to join the party.

Mr Sidorczuk has just confirmed to me that he has withdrawn his application. He insists it has nothing to do with the likelihood of being rejected by the Labour party.

After announcing his defection he went away on holiday with his family and "questioned the motivations and reasons" behind the decision to defect and decided that joining the Labour party was not the right thing to do.

He admits he acted in haste, and says he has no plans to attempt to re-join the Lib Dems and is now just an ordinary citizen.

As an aside this has got to be the most bungled defection I've seen.

I think this was probably naivety more than anything else. Either way he is now out in the cold.

and serves him right there was no place in the Labour Party for him.

Lets hope he settles down and gets a job instead of living off the tax payers of this city
