Mike Storey becomes Lib Dem whip in House of Lords
He's been a peer for less than a year but Mike Storey has already become a Liberal Democrat whip in the House of Lords.
Apparently Lord Storey is thrown himself into the job with hearty enthusiasm.
He was known for his energy and enthusiasm while council leader in Liverpool, how long before he is leader of the Lib Dems in the House of Lords?

Well, I suppose he's got plenty of time on his hands these days after being heavily beaten by Labour's 18 year old candidate from Walton.
From Lib Dem press release to blog without passing 'edit'
So there we have it...Closet Tory Storey enthusiastically whipping his Fib Dem colleagues in the Lords into voting for extreme Tory policies!!
Very interesting to see the tally of votes cast in last month's council by-elections across the country. Labour came third.
Meaningless data, Kevin. Merely spin for the gullible. Your source? I'd bet there were only three or four by-elections last month. Aggregate tally of votes cast means nothing. Of four seats, Labour could have gained three narrowly; and lost a no-hoper heavily. The aggregate vote might leave Labour 3rd. So what? Would be even more interesting to see tally of votes in Liverpool. Why not persuade all the remaining Lib Dem councillors to resign, and trigger by-elections? Go on then. Get busy!
The thing is the 'across the country' stats.
The lib dems in the south have always been different to the lib dems in the north.
In the south the coalition was between 2 not dissimilar parties - like the turkey party and the chicken party.
Up North it was more of a coalition between different parties - the turkey party and the Christmas party.
LibDems took a seat in Inverness last week on the Highlands Council. Is that northern enough ?
The LibDems won a seat up North. You keep reminding yourself of that Mr White, as when the elections come in May here in Liverpool, I don't think we will have many Lib Dems left.
Good riddance.
Too far north.
