Phil Redmond in elected mayor tease on BBC Question Time

redmond_question_time.jpgPhil Redmond refused to rule out running for elected mayor of Liverpool on the BBC's debate show Question Time.

The show was broadcast from Southport's Floral Hall last night.

Chairman David Dimbleby asked Redmond if he was running to be Liverpool's elected mayor.

Redmond said: "I don't know. People keep talking about that, but I don't know.

"Would I get to come on here more often?"

Dimbleby said he would do.

"That might swing it then," Redmond answered.

So he has firmly left the door open, could he become the third independent to join the race.
