Steve Rotheram for next Liverpool FC manager?

By David Bartlett on May 16, 12 10:42 PM in Labour

Rotheram_odds_LFC.pngWalton MP Steve Rotheram is probably one of the biggest football fans in the House of Commons.

A bold suggestion I know, but how many MPs can claim to have been in the betting to be manager of their favourite football club?

Ladbrokes were offering odds of 500/1 for the Labour MP to be next Liverpool FC manager after the sacking of Kenny Dalglish.

Clearly a bet on him would be wasted money, but that he was included at all shows how closely he is associated with the football club he holds dear.

Probably be better at that than politics

Rotheram is one of those rare politicians that is intent on censoring banter on the internet instead of working towards getting more jobs in his constituentcy. The man pranced around as the lord mayor of liverpool for long enough so he knows only too well how to play the system and people to get what he wants. It would be good to see the people of Walton kick him out.
