The Queen's speech is just another example of an out of touch government
People have used their vote in the local elections to protest against this Tory-led government and let them know that they are unhappy with their policies. Instead of responding to the mood of the nation they have chosen to ignore it.
The Government have already botched their budget, now we've got a next-to-nothing Queen's Speech.
Having held a meeting with Shadow Minister for Care and Older Liz Kendall and constituents in March and listening to the views of people affected by social care in Wirral I know that care is in crisis.
Why is the government not addressing this issue when it is effecting so many? Today we see them only committing to publish draft legislation, with no commitment to introduce a Bill on legal and financial reform in this session.
Actually, the matters which are a priority should be those that affect people's everyday lives, such as high unemployment which affects so many.
The Queen's speech is just another example of an out of touch government. David Cameron's government has been in power for two years now and instead of getting on with improving the economy they are still blaming Labour.
They need to take action on the issues that matter and fast but unfortunately this speech doesn't assure me that they will. David Cameron's government should focus on an effective plan to improve the economy.

Listen, Alison not fit to Govern, having a short-term approach to solving Britain's multi-faceted problems is exactly what led us into this situation.
The government has every right to blame Labour and to continue to do so, since they appear to get off scot-free while it is left for the current government to make all the hard spending decisions that Labour abdicated from doing so in 13 years of recklessness. The party that claimed in the arrogance that the days of boom and bust were long behind us, gave us the biggest boom propped up on householder and financial debt, and the biggest bust the country has ever faced.
Get a bit of perspective and before holding the government to account for not taking a short-term approach to the public finances, maybe you should remember why the current government is in power and the disastrous policies that Labour would pursue if they were in power now (see Greece and France for a classic demonstration).
Up the coalition!
Labour got us in the brown stuff
And now the Tories have confirmed we're going to be in it until Cameron either wakes up or moves on.
