After the list was announced Ms Eagle addressed the crowd at the World Pride event in London on behalf of the Labour party.

She listed achievements like the removal of Section 28 and civil partnerships.

The shadow leader of the house also called on the Tories to legislate for gay marriage now, and demanded action in countries where it is still illegal to be gay.

She spoke after Boy George a performance with Boy George, who she met backstage.

City councillor and advisor to the Eagle sisters Dan Hughes posted a picture of himself on twitter with fashion guru Gok Wan, who was named third in the list.

Deputy chief whip Pam Thomas, who we know has an eye for fashion, later tweeted how jealous she was.

Embracing law and order? Shame he was convicted of serious assault, after tying up and attacking a guy. Oh and drugs.
