Clever leaflet from Labour doesn't miss a trick

Claire_Wilner_wedding.jpgLabour's Merseyside's police commissioner candidate Jane Kennedy has just tweeted this picture.

I don't normally get into commenting on political leaflets, but I am going to make an exception.

This leaflet is likely to be one of the best read leaflets to get sent out in Liverpool in many a year because everyone loves a wedding.

Weddings are by their very nature public, so why not use it on a leaflet?

As one politico said to me: "Every woman in Belle Vale will take a longer look and might even read the leaflet."

Clever campaigning, and worthy of note. Oh and Congratulations to Cllr Wilner (Glare) and her husband.

What next? A photo with a Cadbury's Flake?

Nothing like the romance of a wedding and then putting it on a leaflet...

Because its cute and cuddly, presumably? Does this patronising generalisation apply to all women, or just those in Belle Vale?
Err... what year are we in??
