Come back kid Paula Keaveney to be Liberal Democrat candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner election

Paula_Keaveney_steps.jpgFORMER Liverpool Liberal Democrat leader Paula Keaveney is set to be the party's candidate for the Police and Crime Commissioner election in November.

Party members have been sent ballot papers, and there is only two options Paula Keaveney or reopen nominations.

Keaveney, a lecturer in public relations at Edge Hill, was leader of the Lib Dems on Liverpool council until she lost her seat in Cressington until May.

The Liberal Democrats will know they stand little chance against Labour's Jane Kennedy, but Keaveney is a solid choice who will crucially not embarrass the party.
