pauline_daniels.jpgTHINGS seem to be hotting up over on the Wirral where comedian and actress Pauline Daniels is bidding to become a Labour councillor.

Dale Street Associates has been leaked a Labour email warning of Conservative victory if turnout is low.

A source said Spad and city councillor Daniel Hughes has been drafted in to help the campaign to win Wirral's Leasowe and Moreton East byelection next Thursday (January 17).

He's sent a begging email to Labour councillors urging them to help on the doorstep, or risk a Conservative victory.

In the email he said: "We only just won the seat from the Tories in May with a 200 majority and former Tory councillor, Ian Lewis, is desperately trying to win it back. Over the weekend he packed the ward with Tory Councillors from across the North West.

"Wirral Labour have asked if you would be willing to give an hour to help this Saturday and/or on polling day to help turnout the Labour vote?

"The Tories will win if the turnout is low so we need to do all we can to maximise it."
