Judgment Day for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

By Cheryl Mullin on May 18, 09 09:42 PM

It's my sad duty to announce that the axe has fallen on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Unveiling Fox's 2009/10 schedule Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly said: "It was not an inexpensive show. We looked at ratings track where it had a consistent run. That trend line was not pointing in the right direction. We did a huge launch with that show. It was time to move on."

When the pilot aired in the US in January 2008, it pulled in over 18m viewers, but by the end of series two, those figures had dropped to just 4.64m viewers an episode.
As predicted, most of the shows which were picked up were reality TV shows.
But there was some good news, JJ Abrams' Fringe has been commissioned for a second series.

The series wasn't an immediate hit, but has been doing well in the US and is now averaging 10.12m viewers and episode.
