2. MILLENNIUM
Launched on a high from his continued success with The X Files, Chris Carter's Millennium was a dark and genuinely disturbing show.
It followed the investigations of Frank Black (Lance Henrikson); a former FBI profiler who's unique ability to look into the mind of killers has driven him to the edge of madness.
Leaving the FBI and moving his family to Seattle, Frank finds himself being recruited by the mysterious Millennium Group, an organisation which claims to be dedicated to fighting the forces of darkness which are rising as the year 2000 approaches.
Frank's first contact with the group is through Peter Watts, played by Terry O'Quinn who went on to play the intriguing John Locke in Lost.
Debuting in December 2006 on Sky, the show was well received and quickly established a small but loyal fan base.
The handling of the second series was given to James Wong and Glen Morgan, who implemented several changes which FOX thought would boost viewing figures.
They didn't, and by the end of the third series Millennium had slipped to the 134th most watched show out of 200.
Unsurprisingly FOX pulled the plug.
Rumours have circulated for years that there may be a film in the offing. Lance Henrikson himself said he had heard Chris Carter's next project after The X Files: I Want to Believe would be a Millennium movie. Watch this space!

I loved the show, and found Frank Black strangely attractive - well I am the girl who fancies Hellboy and Wolverine (no not Hugh Jackman the actual comic blue-faced version, Hugh's too tall!)
I tuned in for a repeat though and couldn't get into it - I'm guessing now it was one from the later series.
Keep up the good work Geek Girl!!!
