June 2009 Archives
There may just be a glimmer of hope for a decent disaster movie this year. (Warning, contains spoilers!!!)
There's not much that will get me out of bed early on a Monday morning, but these first images from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland had me jumping up and racing downstairs to have a look in flatscreentvo'vision.
Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was one of my favourite books as a child, with its weird and wonderful characters.
Rumours have been bouncing backwards and forwards about whether or not Christopher Nolan will return to direct a third Batman movie.
Nolan has reportedly said he was nervous about returning for the third instalment after the huge successes of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
For once a remake I'm actually looking forward to. It's been announced that Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro will soon be turning his attentions to the classic story of Frankenstein. And what better person to hand the reigns to?
The day had finally arrived and with growing anticipation, Mr M and I bundled my sister and brother-in-law into the car and trundled off to the cinema to watch Terminator Salvation - there's two hours of our lives we'll never get back.
