Jon Favreau - I won't be directing The Avengers
Iron Man helmer Jon Favreau has confirmed that while he won't be directing The Avengers, he will be executive producing it.
His reasons for not directing the movie? He's too big an Iron Man fan. 
"You need somebody who has the perspective of all the different franchises to bring them together," he said in an interview with MTV. "I have the myopic vision of just knowing and loving Iron Man.
"I'll definitely have input and a say," he says, "but they'll have to find a different director because I'm not going to be available."
He also confirmed that sadly, Edward Norton won't be playing The Incredible Hulk in it, putting paid to rumours which began circulating when the actor was quoted recently as saying he thought the unjolly-green-giant would make a good Avengers bady.
The Avengers is scheduled for a 2012 release.
