John Lithgow and Freida Pinto join Rise of the Apes
News breaking this afternoon that John Lithgow and Freida Pinto has committed to Planet of the Apes sequel/prequel Rise of the Apes.
It's also strongly rumoured Don Cheadle could also be about to come on board soon.
Lithgow and Pinto join James Franco, who has already been cast in the lead as a scientist searching for a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
But his experiments with genetic engineering go wrong and cause or ape and monkey friends to make an evolutionary leap.
Lithgow was last seen as a serial killer in the fantastic third series of Dexter, while Pinto has cut her teeth in Slumdog Millionaire.
Rise of the Apes has attracted some very big names, let's hope it's better than Tim Burton's 2001 abomination.
