Taschen produce DC Comics volume
Cast your eyes over this knee-crushing beauty, celebrating 75 years of DC Comics.

Publisher Taschen has produced some beautiful books over the years, of which I have a few in my collection at home.
But this stunning XL volume, DC Comics: The Art of Modern Mythmaking, which was released last week is definitely one to save for.
Taschen is billing this as the 'most comprehensive book ever produced on DC Comics' boasting over 2,000 images and 'year-by-year' timelines which fold out to nearly four foot in length.
Charting the history of the company from it's humble beginnings in 1935 when founder Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson published New Fun No. 1 to it's meteoric rise as the home of Superman, Batman and many, many more.
Author Paul Levitz, who himself worked on Batman storylines, has written some wonderful essays on DC which tie the various sketches, photographs, covers, film stills and collectables together beautifully.
At £135 (currently £94.50 on Amazon, click here!) it's not cheap, but to be honest it looks worth every penny!
