New for old

If you're anything like me, you'll have clothes that you don't like anymore, don't fit anymore or are even 'what was I thinking?' purchases with the tags still on.
I try to do the right thing with these unwanted items and bag them up with the intention of taking them to the charity shop but for some reason, mainly my lack of organisation, they end up sitting in bags for months on end.

I took my friend who had been looking forward to the event much longer than was probably healthy. With a wedding to plan and budget for, she saw it as an ideal way to refresh her wardrobe without spending a small fortune.
The amount and variety of clothes people were willing to swap was unbelivable and I'm pretty sure everyone who attended managed to pick up at least one new item. And with tea, coffee and cakes on hand it was a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon. All for the bargain price of just £1.
Well done Claire for a brilliant idea. Already looking forward to the next one.
