Yellow is the colour

By Laura Davis on Apr 15, 08 12:05 PM

fakebake.jpgEVER since I accidentally dyed my elbows yellow I've avoided using fake tan.
It turned out the tube of moisturiser I was using on a daily basis to avoid the dreaded elephant skin effect contained "glowing" properties.

Of course I only realised this after two weeks of premiering the jaundiced look and it took nearly as long for the pigment to wear off.
Paler than Eva Green in a haunted house ever since, I've been expecting my Scouse passport to be seized for contravention of colour codes, but now it looks as though there is a way of preventing myself from being escorted to the city limits.
Fake Bake has launched a new self-tanning product for fair skin, which they claim can be used on your face as well as your body.
With the mental scars still raw from my previous experience, this seems a risky business.
Should I try it out or accept my pastiness for evermore? I'd love your comments...

When I first read your 'Yellow is the Colour' post, I misread 'elbows' for 'eyebrows'.

Dying your facial hair yellow is a far scarier proposition - you can always cover dodgy coloured elbows with long sleeves. Try the Fake Bake - how bad can it be?

this is fantastic! thankyou so much for the heads up - its so frustrating when you are so pale that you literally can't use fake tan because it makes you go yellow. great news... i'm off to the shops now!
