Looking good in the credit crunch
As the endless stories of doom and gloom continue, being stylish when you're struggling to pay the bills can be a tad difficult.
But worry not, the Girls Behaving Stylishly are here to show you how you can still look good and survive the credit crunch.
1. Recycle - Fashion works in cycles and there's no reason why clothes that last saw daylight several years ago, cannot be worn again. In fact, one colleague has a dress that she first wore as a teenager and still wears now, She is so on trend, that a similar version is currently being sold in Oasis.
2. Ebay - Raise some money by flogging stuff you don't want and pick up the odd bargain for next to nothing along the way. This also applies to jumble sales and car boot sales.
3. Swaps - You may occasionaly borrow a dress, bag etc from your nearest and dearest but take it a step further by organising a party where people can swap things they don't want for things they do.
4. Charity shops - Many a bargain can be found here and hey, you're doing your bit for a good cause.
5. Hire - If you really can't live without this season's 'It' bag, many websites now give you the chance to hire the latest designs for a fraction of the cost.
