Tribute to a fashion icon
IT WOULD be remiss of the Girls Behaving Stylishly team to carry on their gossiping about the last episode of Desperate Housewives or what we did over the weekend without pausing for a moment to consider the late great Yves Saint Laurent, who died yesterday.
We would be hard pressed to sum up the reclusive designer's life any better than the obituary Daily Post columnist David Charters has written - you can find it in the Obits section of this webiste from tomorrow morning - so instead we'll spent a few moments considering some of his wise words...

'Isn't elegance forgetting what one is wearing.'
'Fashions fade, style is eternal.'
And my personal favourite...
'Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.'
