Wedding daze

FORGET Tom and Katie, Wayne and Coleen, Jordan and Peter Andre... I was at the wedding of the decade last weekend.

But this isn't one that you'll be reading about on the pages of Hello and OK!

Instead it was the wedding of a close family friend and her beloved at St George's Hall and lasted, like all good Indian weddings, for about a week.

St George's Hall is one of those venues that is jaw dropping for those that see it for the first time and ensured it was a wedding that will last long in the memory of all those who attended.

From getting my hands painted in the traditional henna, to driving down back alleys and over pavements with a lifetime's supply of orange juice in my boot, to the civil service, Hindu ceremony and evening reception, it was a week that I will never forget.

So congratulations to the happy couple and all the best as you embark on your life together.
