Boodles extends deadline for jewellery design competition

By Laura Davis on Sep 12, 08 11:00 AM

boodles.jpgGOOD news for new designers - Liverpool's jeweller to the stars has extended the deadline for its Capital of Culture competition.

Boodles is looking for a piece of jewellery or a trophy that encapsulates the city - with inspiration drawn from its history, future, people, art, architecture, music and culture - and has donated £10,000 towards having it made.

The competition is open to non-professionals of all ages and the winning design will be displayed in the window of Boodles on Lord Street and eventually donated to the collection of the new Museum of Liverpool.

Entries should be submitted as paper artwork of no more than two pages, one illustrating the design and the other for descriptive notes - jewellery entries on A4 sheets and trophy designs on A3. Include your name, address and telephone number or email address.

The new deadline is October 17. Send entries to: Open Culture, Liverpool Innovation Park, 2nd floor Faraday House, 360 Edge Lane, Liverpool L7 9NJ. Artwork cannot be returned.

Good luck!
