Chester Fashion Fortnight: update

IF YOU haven't checked out the events at Chester Fashion Fortnight yet then you still have time.

This week's highlights are as follows...

Today & Sun 21: Chester retailers deliver fashion to the streets at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Mon Sept 22 - Wed 24: A Model in the Making, Grosvenor Shopping Centre. Competition for models other than the Fashion Industry's standard size 8. Organisers are looking for a model who is representative of real people, wearing real clothes.

Tues Sept 23: Young Designer of the Year at Cruise Nightclub, 7:30pm. Ticket £10 includes canapes and wine reception. The battle is on between Mid Cheshire and West Cheshire Colleges to find the Young Designer of the Year.

Thurs Sept 25: Perfect Pins, Castle Galleries, 6-8pm. Professional artist Simon Claridge is to paint a live model whilst you watch and unveil the finished painting at the Castle Gallery where guests can enjoy a champagne, canape reception and fashion show.

Fri Sept 26: Live Windows, Grosvenor Shopping Centre. Models will replace mannequins in shop windows around the city to show off the hottest seasonal looks.

Sat Sept 27: Grosvenor Shopping Centre Fashion Show. Three shows featuring labels from the Centre. Each will demonstrate how to wear the chosen garments and display ideas for accessorising.
