l THE EMMY Awards. The awards season starts this weekend in LA. Frocks aplenty.
l JENNIFER LOPEZ. Not many women can look good in a wetsuit and swimming cap but she pulled it off at last week's triathlon.
l BRUU. Forget coffee, teashops are where it's at now and Bruu at St Paul's Square in Liverpool is definitely the place to go.
l THE Biennial. Liverpool's acclaimed arts festival is underway. Make it your mission to see something even if it's only the spider at Exchange Flags.

l GWYNETH PALTROW on Oprah. No-one should look that good when they are working out.
l THE new look Facebook. A million users have already registered their discontent.
l IT bags. The catwalk shows this week have been suspiciously devoid of handbags as designers turn their attention to shoes.
