Licence to dress
IN CASE you're wondering, this post isn't an excuse for a gratuitious photo of Daniel Craig. As the only GBS who wouldn't swap my grandmother for five minutes in his company, I wouldn't be involved in such shanighans.
Instead, this post is written in the interest of women everywhere who hope that British men will pick up on some of 007's panache.
So here we have it, care of Burton menswear, men's style commentator Simon Mills' tips on getting the James Bond look in time for the release of Quantum of Solace on October 31:
1. Don't wear a black bow tie with a regular white office shirt - it looks dead naff. Team it with a formal dress shirt for maximum impact.
2. A proper dress shirt with a bit of ruffle always looks much better than a plain shirt and more James Bond-ish.
3. White dinner jackets work best during the summer.
4. If you are going down the smart/casual route, match a dinner jacket with dark indigo blue or black jeans to avoid your outfit looking dated.
5. And while you may have seen Mark Ronson rocking a dinner suit with sneakers, think very carefully before you try this ensemble for yourself.
And for those of you who have a different favourite Bond to my GBS colleagues, here's a treat for you...

Ooh, men in tuxedos and black tie. What more could a girl ask for on a Monday?
