Starry, Starry Nights....

INCREDIBLE to imagine the A-listers of the music world will be trawling the streets of Liverpool with the rest of us this week.

Latest (well recentish) news in is that Kanye, The Killers, Perez Hilton and Pink will be getting hot and sweaty at the Carling Academy tomorrow night with the great unwashed (not GBS of course. Speaking for myself, I regard it as an occasion richly deserving of getting washed for).

British bands have to have tales to pull out of playing in pub basements on a carpet of broken glass and just a drunken darts player in the audience (I don't count the Academy as that).

But it still makes me go a bit slack jawed to think of one name stars used to palm trees, sun and open-top Lexuses (Lexi?) dodging dog poo, vomit and students to get to some of our edgier venues.

Anyway, should be fun. Me, Kanye and Pink might grab a kebab on London Road afterwards.
