Fashion Heroes & Zeros 2008

By Emma Pinch on Dec 31, 08 08:00 AM

katemossdress.jpgFASHION hero for me, is an oldie but goodie.
She hasn't been rocking anything radically different this year (day uniform shaggy/punky tops, jeans, boots, designer handbags, evening version this season 30s glamour and slinky heels) but still no -one comes close to challenging Mossy's insoucient brand of style.

The good, the bad and the ugly

THERE have been many fashion highs and lows for me this year including Katy Perry's MTV wardrobe, an ongoing obsession with Abbey Clancy's hair which is sure to continue into 2009 and Cheryl Cole's X-Factor looks. But my favourite must be the First Lady-to-be Michelle Obama.

By dressing in Gap and American department store J Crew and with effortless style she's shown that you don't have to fork out thousands to look good and let's face it, in these credit crunch times, that can only be good news.

THERE were many fashion highs for me this year, not least the moment when I finally managed to get my hands on a pair of wet-look leggings following the big sellout.
But I think my favourite had to be Carrie's Vivienne Westwood wedding dress in the Sex and the City movie.

FROM wet-look leggings to vertiginous heels, puffball dresses to high-waisted pants and the ubiquitous leather bomber jacket - it has been an eclectic year for fashion.
We said goodbye to a fashion legend with the passing of Yves Saint Laurent and hello to Victoria Beckham serious fashion designer (the jury's still out on that one).
We welcomed eight inch heels, spikes and bags that you could keep the entire contents of your house in.

There's a definite festive feel to what we are loving and hating this week:

HOT

SELECTION boxes (but not Heroes - see below).

BARACK OBAMA'S six-pack. We expect many things of American presidents but a buff body is not one of them. Looks amazing though.

Happy Christmas!

NOT half bad eh?
Not James Bond in his blue pants, but considering he carries most of the power of the free world on those shoulders I wouldn't chuck him out for for eating crisps. Even cheese and onion.

EVER wondered what your name would be if you were one of Father Christmas's elf helpers? Click here to find out:

The GBS appear to hail from the Fuzzy clan. Which kinda makes sense, now that it's acceptable to be drinking mulled wine by 4pm.
I'm Fuzzy Holly-Toes which I rather like. In fact henceforth it's how I wish to be known. Laura is Fuzzy Horny-Noodles.
Emma J is Fuzzy Dancing-Toes
Alpa is Fuzzy Bunny-Baubles

Christmas shopping at speed

I THINK I have mentioned before my dislike of the Christmas season.
So you won't be surprised to learn that I tend to leave my Christmas shopping to the last minute (yes I am that person running around in a blind panic on Christmas Eve).

Cool men and Christmas cards
