I DON'T court publicity says Victoria Beckham in a new interview to launch her collection in the British shops.

She confesses that she doesn't draw the designs herself; mega-succesful bosom pal Roland Mouret takes care of that.

But, says Vicky, "I put it all on myself and walk around in it". Comfort, she nods, is important.

But if she didn't then get snapped totting around in said designs, (and have forests of tape recorders and cameras thrust her way to give 'her' collection more advertising than money could ever buy), what exactly would her contribution be?

Posh, I do like you, but please, swallow a nice strong dose of reality. It's not fattening, honest.

*Speaking of not fattening her collection, going on sale at Selfridges in Manchester, goes up to a relatively roomy 14. The price tags weigh in at a chunkier £650 to £1900.
