Jumpsuits, Fiona Bruce's eyebrows and a nice cup of char

By Laura Davis on Mar 5, 09 12:09 PM

Our guest blogger Gemma Aldcroft of Club Geek Chic shares her Hots and Nots...

I'VE noticed that in previous weeks the GBS chicks have done a couple of 'What's Hot and What's Not' pages so I thought I'd do one too....

HOT

Tea - These days a cup of char is far trendier than a skinny latte thanks to fab places like Brew off Old Hall Street and Leaf Tea Shop and Bar in the Contemporary Urban Centre. D'yer wanna brew?

The Red Riding Trilogy - This evening at 9pm sees the start of Channel Four's adaptation of David Peace's cult noir novels, with a quite sensational cast including Sean Bean, Paddy Considine, Maxine Peake and the gorgeous David Morrissey (I met him once - he's even more gorgeous in real life...)

Jumpsuits - I still haven't decided whether I'm going to brave this fantastic 80s throwback trend but I'd like to!

Celebrities climbing Kilimanjaro - Kudos to Ronan, Cheryl, Alesha and the rest of the Comic Relief climbing posse. Specifically Gary Barlow. He's just so lovely. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

NOT

Britney's comeback - come on love, you're about two years behind the rest of us with the whole Burlesque thing! Kinky police outfits, fetishwear and pseudo-military gear; it just doesn't work for me, sorry. Bring back the days of Hit Me Baby I say.

Cold Snaps - No, no, no. I'm going to have to put my foot down about this. It should be spring now. I'm SO fed up with being cold.

Fiona Bruce's eyebrows - The lovely Fi is a stylish lady but I think she's been over tweezing her brows somewhat. She has a permanent look of incredulity crossed with sauciness while she's reading the news. She obviously hasn't been consulting the GBS blog where she would have found out that bushier brows are now in.

Gladiator sandals - I'll probably seem awfully uncool saying this but I think they are UNBELIEVABLY unflattering. They belong on part-time actors standing with shields and spears outside the Colosseum, Russell Crowe and that's it.

Haha, I agree with today's blog Gemma, and have to add a couple of my own:

HOT
This folk/hippy trend sneaking back in...I look forward to wearing a pretty floaty dress over my bump during that week of summer we'll get at the beginning of May.

NOT
Madonna and Jesus. Not in the religious sense, but the 50 yr old Queen of Pop and her new 22 year old man-strumpet. Just wrong.

Useful information, many thanks to the author. It is puzzling to me now, but in general, the usefulness and importance is overwhelming. Very much thanks again and good luck!

Me and my friend were arguing about an issue similar to this! Now I know that I was right. lol! Thanks for the information you post.

Ed Hardy clothing often use some embroidery, washing, ink and other techniques to create a feeling of decadent erosion, combined from the great masters have fed the eagle, tigers, skeletons, demons, daggers, and naked women and other tattoo designs, making a series of clothes. Another strong Japanese flavor of the carp, a dragon and the tiger totem, the tiger and squirrel dogs is a relatively new style of cartoon creation. So that is introduced by the mass of a loved baseball totem tattoo embroidered mesh into a collection cap is the value of the best sellers.if you like contactwww.edhardy-discount.com for more information about cheap ed hardy and discount ed hardy
