Killer heels?

TAKE a look in any shoe store right now and you will see they are packed with vertiginous heels stretching to thre, four and even five inches high.
They don't make for easy walking I can tell you. But now we are being warned of a much more serious danger posed by sky high shoes than just a trip or embarrassing tumble in the street.
Diva, car insurance for women, say that we could be risking our lives if we get behind the wheel in a pair of super-high shoes.
A survey of 2,000 Diva car insurance customers found that a staggering 51% of women admitted to driving in stilettos but they warn that driving the shoes can actually cause your foot to slip off a pedal or miss it altogether!
Scary stuff but Diva offer this advice for roadworthy footwear:
*The shoe should not be too wide to prevent accidentally stepping on two pedals
*It should not hinder ankle movement
*The sole should not be too thin or too soft
*There should be enough grip to prevent the sole slipping from the pedals
*The sole of the shoe should be no thicker than 10mm
*The shoe should not be too heavy

I always take my heels off and put on a pair of Redfoot shoes... the ballet pumps that fold up! I'm completely useless when it comes to driving in heels so these are fab!
