WHILE packing for my recent move to London (hence my absence from this blog) I faced a dilemma of epic proportions. Forget the crisis in the world's economy, global warming and rising fuel prices - I had to figure out a way to get my entire wardrobe that had taken up closet space in two rooms into one teeny, tiny cupboard.
Now, I've seen Gok discussing how less is now more and I've read all the magazine articles about how easy it is too achieve a capsule but in reality, it's a near impossibility. Especially with our Great British Summer.
And anyway, I enjoy shopping too much to limit myself to "a few key pieces".

I do not need convincing that shoes are works of art. If I could get away with it, I have a few pairs that I would happily put out on my mantelpiece if I thought I could get away with it.
However one artist has gone even further.
Alice Instone's exhibition, Interview with a Shoe features paintings and sculptures of celebrity's shoes inclduing Manolos from Bianca Jagger and footwear from the closets of the likes of Cherie Blair and Annie Lennox.
You can catch the show at Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch, east London now.
When the clouds are gathering here in the UK then a little Mediterranean glamour doesn't go amiss. And that is precisely what the Cannes Film festival has provided us with this week.
Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Rachel Weisz and Diane Kruger all donned designer gowns and took to the red carpet.
Here for you delight and delectation are our pics of the week's looks.
Enjoy!
OPERA diva Katharine Jenkins has always been such a classy type, so we were rather surprised to see these pics of her at the Classical Brits looking a tad over-done.

The hair was blonder, the tan deeper and the dress would not have looked out of place on Barbie.
Bring back the old Katharine and leave the frou frou pink and permatanning to Paris Hlton please!

WE ARE seeing all manner of fashion crimes being committed daily since the leggings renaissance but we think we might be witnessing one of the worst here from Alesha Dixon.

Don't get us wrong we do love the sexy little singer/ballroom dancer but really someone should have told her to step away from these leg squeezers.
Ladies, learn from this.
If shiny red leggings can do that to the lovely Alesha, Lord knows what they could do to us mere mortals.
Just say no!

HAVE you noticed your gym car park looking busier than usual of late?
I know I have. Mind you that may only be because I haven't been there for months. Now with summer holidays looming it is suddenly imperative for me to shape up for the old bikini.
And I am not the only one it seems, women everywhere are hitting the gym in order to be able to fit into their summer clothes.
Women are frittering away ã650 million on fashions that don't fit because they refuse to admit they have put on weight over winter, according to a Special K survey. While the rest use smaller garments as an incentive to slim down for summer.

But any fans expecting an impersonation of Audrey Hepburn who was most famous for playing Holly on the big screen, will be disappointed.
