Unravelling Missoni
Missoni is certainly up there with those other fashion dynasties Gucci and Versace. It has created an iconic brand that is instantly recognisable from a 100 paces.
The famous Missoni print was first created in the late 40s and shot to popularity in the late 60s and early 70s and is still a favourite with young Hollywood starlets such as Mischa Barton and the Olsen twins.
Now a new exhibition, Workshop Missoni: Daring to be Different, looks back at the brand and the family behind the famous print.
Rather than focusing on the finished product, the exhibition will explore the inspiration and processes behind the scenes of the Missoni brand and will reveal the technical processes involved in the production of their fabrics and clothing and their sources of inspiration.
Workshop Missoni: Daring to be Different runs until September 20 at the Estorick Collection, 39a Canonbury Square, London N1.
