Hankering after some Halston Heritage? I know where you can get it

By Emma Johnson on Feb 1, 10 12:47 PM

I CANNOT tell you quite how beside myself I am at the prospect of getting one o the dresses from the new Halston heritage collection. Saying that I fear I may have a fight on my hands for it.

If, somehow the hottest new fashion label has passed you by let me fill you in.
Halston Heritage is the diffusiion brand recently launched by seventies favourite label Halston. Halston was the preferred designer of the Studio 54 set repsonsible for that sexy seventies look of slinky dresses and silk jumpsuits as worn by the likes of Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall.
Halston himself lost control of his company in 1984 and died from AIDS in 1990.
However in 2008 the label was revived by Jimmy Choo boss one Tamara Mellon.

Sadly most of us would struggle to raise the big bucks required for some top level Halston (without selling a vital organ or two).
However Halston Heritage is much more reasonably priced - it's not Primark but you could pick up one of the key pieces for less than £300.
But what is going to make the line the hottest in town is the fact that Halston Heritage is the label of choice for Carrie in the forthcoming Sex and the City sequel.

That and the fact that the pieces are absolutely gorgeous.
Just last week Sarah Jessica Parker, pictured here on set wearing the Halston Heritage
Electric Blue Layer Dress £395, was confirmed as the new president and chief creative officer Halston which is sure to send Halston Heritage sales stratoshperic.
Currently you can only buy the range at net-a-porter.com and at Gok's mate Brix Smith Start's Start boutique.
But soon it will be on sale here in this very city. Where? I'm not telling you that until I have picked out my own pieces. But watch this space!!
