Sheree Murphy puts on the style to launch Grand National Style Contest
ACTRESS Sheree Murphy was handing out race day fashion tips to shoppers at Matalan in Wavertree, at the weekend as she officially launched the annual style competition for this year's Grand National race meeting.
The mum-of-three, who is married to footballer Harry Kewell and is about to start in Hollyoaks, was joined by Cricket boutique owner Justine Mills, fashion designer Jeff Banks and celebrity hair stylist Zak Coldicutt for the launch event at Matalan's store, in Wavertree, Liverpool.
Scouts will select the most chic racegoers throughout day one and two to enter the Style 2010 competition with super wag Coleen Rooney announcing the overall winner on Saturday ahead of the prestigious Grand National race.
"I love the National, for me, it's the highlight of the event calendar and judging is so much fun," says Sheree, 34.
I will be joining Sheree, Justine and Jeff Banks on the judging panel for this year's contest and am almost there with my outfit, got the dress (well its being altered!) and shoes just need to sort the bag and jewellery.
I just hope i will be a Girl Behaving Styloshly enough come the big day next Friday April 9.
Says Jeff: "Liverpool is one of the biggest fashion centres outside of London which is always apparent at Aintree.
"This year, I'm going to be looking for someone who has really made an assessment of their style, who looks great and is not simply following a trend. For the men, I'd love to see them in hats they're the perfect finish to a race day outfit."
The winner of this year's Style Contest will walk away with a host of fabulous prizes including a Kia Venga car worth ã12,000, a 10 day all inclusive Almond Resorts holiday to Barbados for two people and star treatment at a photo shoot at a top London studio. They will be styled by professional hair and make-up artists and directed by Jeff Banks and will also receive VIP entry to the races on Grand National day.
Get your gladrags on girls.
