Designers jump on the iPad bandwagon

SINCE its release earlier this year, Apple's iPad has become this season's - and probably, this year's - must-have gadget.
Never one to miss out on an opportunity, the likes of Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Oscar de la Renta have realised this opens a whole new avenue of branded products. You can see their thinking - anyone splashing out on an iPad is not going to want to risk it getting scratched or damaged
The new Gucci iPad case, designed by Frida Giannini, comes in black rubberized or beige/ebony Guccissima leather, as well as neoprene - each one awash with the familiar GG logo.
Oscar de la Renta meanwhile, was so impressed with the new gadget he sent his models down the catwalk clutching his new iPad clutch at his most recent collection. His version comes in four colours - in Carnation, Marigold (right), Off White or Stone.
