Remembering Jackie

alma-3.jpgALMA de Cuba held a fashion show last night in memory of a mother-of-nine who died of cystic fibrosis.

Jackie Culshaw, 58, died last year, four years after she lost two of her children to the illness and was remembered in the Women of the Year Awards 2007, which is supported by the Daily Post. You can read more about her story by clicking here.

ANDREW Collinge's Castle Street salon was transformed into a club for one night only for its fourth birthday party this week and the GBS went along to check it out.

The party also celebrated being voted as Salon of the Year by HAIR Magazine and art director Jayne Mahon (above) being short-listed for this year's British Hairdressing Awards which takes place at the Grosvenor House, London, on November 24.

BLESS those soap lovelies. They spend their on-screen lives dressed like bag ladies so you can hardly blame them for getting a bit overexcited when an awards ceremony comes along can you?

SO WORD reaches us that our favourite Chester-based soap is launching its own range of perfumes -Hollyoaks Him and Hollyoaks Her.
Here at Style Towers the jury is still out on that one I mean can you imagine Eau de Eastenders or Coronation Street No.5?
