Irkafirka creates art out of flippant Twitter comments

irkafirka.jpgA FLIPPANT remark on Twitter while I was traveling into work on the bus the other week caught the attention of Irkafirka and they produced this great cartoon about it.

If you haven't heard of them before, they are a group of artists with the catchphrase "anything you say may be taken down and coloured in". Their website is curated by Chris Bell and features one picture per day, based on something they've read on Twitter.

In case you are interested, I have seen a tortoise run faster than that particular bus.

I always joke that one of our photographers, Jason Roberts, will turn every job into a action shoot. I was styling a fashion shoot with him a few years ago and he had the model standing in the Steble Fountain on William Brown Street in a £3,000 dress (incidentally by the same designer, Liverpool-based Philip Armstrong, who created the dress Dannii Minogue was wearing on Saturday's X Factor.)

Anyway, I was writing a feature on Chester Zoo's conservation work with turtles and we managed to find the only one who could run. Jason ended up performing a James Bond dive-and-roll manoeuvre to capture it on camera.
