Architectural treasures open their doors

Cunard.jpgEVER wondered what it would have been like to be a first class passenger awaiting passage on a grand ocean liner or a music hall star listening out for his cue from the wings?

The Cunard Building and Liverpool Playhouse are just two of the many buildings opening their doors for this year's Heritage Open Days - you can visit the first class lounge of the Pier Head building or take a tour of the theatre's back stage area.

To celebrate European Capital of Culture year, the event has been extended to an 11-day heritage festival, from now until September 21, featuring more than 130 activities and openings.
