New Hovis ad brings back memories

I AM guilty of Sky+ing the new Hovis advert and watching it back over and over to try and recognise the Liverpool streets it was filmed on.

While it's not strictly local history, the 122-second ad must have brought back memories to those who saw it for the first time during Coronation Street last night - seeing your husband return from war, the girl you fancied in the knee length boots in the Cavern, the Miners' Strike, kicking a football through the streets as a kid...
